to recognze and honor Imani Sarai Jean, a
twelve-year-old student from Orangeburg county, and to congratulate her on her
success as a motivational speaker, a published author, and role model to her
peers.
W
hereas, the House of
Representatives is pleased to learn that Imani Sarai Jean, a sixth grade
student in Orangeburg, is making a meaningful impact on her community and
beyond; and
W
hereas, an ambassador
for her school, Imani is a motivational speaker and published author who is
making a lasting impression both in South Carolina and nationally; and
W
hereas, she has earned
multiple state and national speech titles, including consecutive National Beta
Club Speech championships in 2024 and 2025, as well as consecutive South
Carolina Beta Club Speech championships in 2024 and 2025; and
W
hereas, the 2026
Orangeburg County School District Spelling Bee winner, Imani was named the 2024
Orangeburg County School District MLK Oratory winner; and
W
hereas, she is the
author of
Imani's Voice, Imani's Victory: The Road to a National Championship
,
a book that shares her journey of finding her voice through challenging
experiences, perseverance, and growth along her path to success; and
W
hereas, she recently
delivered a keynote address at the National Get Your Teach On Conference hosted
by Hope and Wade King, where she spoke to over six thousand five hundred
educators, inspiring them through her message of confidence, resilience, and
purpose; and
W
hereas, through her
platform, Imani Inspires, on Instagram and YouTube, she continues to uplift and
motivate others while serving as a positive role model among her peers and
within her school community; and
W
hereas, hoping to pursue a
career in mass communications, Imani is committed to using her voice to inspire
others and to create meaningful change in the world; and
W
hereas, the South
Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn of the success of young
people in the Palmetto State, like Imani Sarai Jean, who use their God-given
talents and perseverance to demonstrate excellence, leadership, and a
commitment to make a difference in their communities, to set high standards for
themselves and their peers, and to serve as effective role models. Now, therefore,

by this resolution, recognize and honor Imani Sarai Jean, a twelve-year-old
