TO CONGRATULATE
PEE DEE MATH, SCIENCE, AND TECHNOLOGY ACADEMY OF BISHOPVILLE ON ITS RECENT
CERTIFICATION AS A WORKFORCE CENTER OF EXCELLENCE AND TO COMMEND THE SCHOOL AT
THIS CELEBRATION OF THE WORK, THE PROGRESS, AND THE PROMISE OF ITS STUDENTS.

W
hereas, the South
Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that Bishopville's Pee
Dee Math, Science, and Technology Academy (PDMSTA) was officially designated as
a Workforce Center of Excellence (WCOE) on April 21, 2026, in a special
ceremony. School families, community members, partners, and supporters joined
state and military leaders in gathering to salute the school on this most
recent accomplishment; and

W
hereas, making the
occasion even more memorable, PDMSTA was recognized as South Carolina's first
WCOE-certified school; and

W
hereas, for years,
PDMSTA has been dedicated to equipping students for college and careers. Now,
the school is stepping into the next phase, expanding opportunities through
real world partnerships that connect education directly to workforce and
military pathways; and

W
hereas, this historic
milestone, designation as a WCOE-certified school, reflects PDMSTA's commitment
to preparing students for success through innovative education, strong
partnerships, and a vision for the future; and

W
hereas, now in its
ninth year, Pee Dee Math, Science, and Technology Academy is a public charter
school serving grades K-12. The school is unique within the charter district
because it is the only rural charter school in the Pee Dee area of South
Carolina; and

W
hereas, Workforce
Centers of Excellence are regional or national hubs designed to bridge the gap
between industry needs and worker skills through specialized training,
research, and collaborative partnerships; and

W
hereas, the House
takes great pride and pleasure in adding its collective voice to the many
encomiums flowing in to Pee Dee Math, Science, and Technology Academy in
celebration of its recent WCOE certification. Now, therefore,

House of Representatives

T
hat the members of the
South Carolina
House of Representatives
,
by this resolution, congratulate Pee Dee Math, Science, and Technology Academy
of Bishopville on its recent certification as a Workforce Center of Excellence
and commend the school at this celebration of the work, the progress, and the
promise of its students.

B
e it further resolved
that a copy of this resolution be presented to Dr. E. Keith Bailey, executive
director of Pee Dee Math, Science, and Technology Academy.
