TO AMEND THE SOUTH CAROLINA CODE OF LAWS
BY AMENDING SECTION
17-13-150
, RELATING TO THE FURNISHING OF COPIES OF WARRANTS
TO PERSONS SUBJECT TO SEARCH WARRANTS, SO AS TO REMOVE PROVISIONS REQUIRING A
COPY OF THE AFFIDAVIT AND REQUIRE A COPY OF THE INVENTORY BE PROVIDED IF
DEMANDED BY THE PERSON WHOSE PROPERTY IS TAKEN SUBJECT TO A SEARCH WARRANT.

e it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

ECTION 1.

ection
17-13-150
of the S.C.
Code is amended to read:

S
ection
17-13-150
. When
any
a
person is served with a
search warrant, such person
shall
must
be furnished with a copy of the warrant
along with the affidavit upon which such warrant was issued
.
If a copy of the inventory is demanded by the person from whose
person or premises property is taken, a copy of the inventory must be provided
to him.

ECTION
2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
