TO RECOGNIZE MAY 10-16, 2026, AS "HOSPITAL WEEK IN
sOUTH CAROLINA."

W
hereas, the American
Hospital Association and the South Carolina Hospital Association have
designated May 10-16, 2026, as Hospital Week in South Carolina; and

W
hereas, the purpose of
Hospital Week is to acknowledge the work of hospitals in supporting the health
needs of communities every day; and

W
hereas, South
Carolina's hospitals and health systems contribute over thirty-six billion
dollars in total economic impact, support thousands of jobs, and generate
thirteen billion dollars in labor income statewide; and

W
hereas, the impact of
hospitals is possible because of the preparation, dedication, and compassion of
the health professionals they employ; and

W
hereas, on day shift
and night shift throughout the entire year, health professionals working in
hospitals strive to meet the healthcare needs of all South Carolina citizens
and visitors to our State; and

W
hereas, the health and
well-being of our communities and our people will ensure a prosperous,
productive, and thriving State of South Carolina. Now, therefore,
