RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR Rafting Creek Elementary
School for its service to the Rembert community and to the people and the State
of South Carolina.
W
hereas, the members of
the South Carolina Senate are pleased to recognize Rafting Creek Elementary
School for its service to the Rembert community and to the people and the State
of South Carolina; and
W
hereas, located in Rembert,
Rafting Creek Elementary School is a Title I school that houses over one
hundred students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. For over eighty-nine
years, the school has provided quality education for all students in an
environment where children feel safe and enjoy learning; and
W
hereas, Rafting Creek
Elementary School, home of the Lions, aims to enable all students to master and
exceed grade-level expectations as outlined by the South Carolina College and
Career Ready Standards. The school provides its students with equitable
learning experiences that will help them become creative thinkers and problem
solvers who will produce innovative ideas in the future; and
W
hereas, Rafting Creek
Elementary School has flourished under the guidance of its principal, Anita
Hunter; and
W
hereas, the members of
the South Carolina Senate greatly appreciate the dedication and commitment that
Rafting Creek Elementary School has shown in serving the people and the State
of South Carolina. Now, therefore,

e it resolved by the
Senate
:

hat the members of the
South Carolina
Senate
, by this resolution,
recognize and honor Rafting Creek Elementary School for its service to the
Rembert community and to the people and the State of South Carolina.
B
e it further resolved
that a copy of this resolution be presented to the principal of Rafting Creek
Elementary School, Anita Hunter.
