RESOLUTION
TO CONGRATULATE JOHN EMMETTE MCLAUCHLIN JR. UPON THE
OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT, TO COMMEND HIm FOR HIS many YEARS OF DEDICATED
SERVICE, AND TO WISH HIM MUCH HAPPINESS AND FULFILLMENT IN THE YEARS AHEAD.
W
hereas, The South
Carolina Senate is proud to recognize John Emmette McLauchlin Jr. upon the
occasion of his retirement; and
W
hereas, a native of St.
Matthews, Mr. McLauchlin was born to parents John E. and Milly McLauchlin. He
is an alumnus of Calhoun Academy and Clemson University; and
W
hereas, throughout his
career, Mr. McLauchlin exemplified excellence and commitment in government
service, contributing an impressive thirty years to the state of South
Carolina, including five years as Calhoun County Administrator and Economic
Development Director, sixteen years in Orangeburg County, and nine years with
the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC); and
W
hereas, Mr. McLauchlin's
leadership, integrity, and tireless dedication have left a lasting impact on
the communities he has served and will be remembered with great respect and
appreciation; and
W
hereas, Mr. McLauchlin
is married to Sarah Koepp, and together, they have two children; and
W
hereas, the members of
the South Carolina Senate appreciate the passion and dedication that Mr. McLauchlin
has shown in serving the people and the State of South Carolina. Now,
therefore,

e it resolved by the
Senate:
T
hat the members of the
South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate John Emmette McLauchlin
Jr. upon the occasion of his retirement, commend him for his many years of
dedicated service, and wish him much happiness and fulfillment in the years
ahead.

e it further resolved
that a copy of this resolution be presented to John Emmette McLauchlin Jr.
