TO CELEBRATE AND CONGRATULATE TOD
AUGSBURGER, RETIRING PRESIDENT AND CEO OF LEXINGTON HEALTH, TO EXPRESS DEEP
APPRECIATION FOR HIS TWENTY-SIX YEARS OF DISTINGUISHED SERVICE, AND TO WISH HIM
CONTINUED SUCCESS AND FULFILLMENT IN ALL HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

W
hereas, Tod Augsburger has provided Lexington Health-formerly
Lexington Medical Center-with more than twenty-six years of dedicated service,
leadership, and vision, including his tenure as senior vice president, chief
operating officer, and since 2015, president and chief executive officer; and

W
hereas, under Mr. Augsburger's leadership, Lexington Health achieved
major milestones, including its 2021 transition from a governmental entity to a
private, not-for-profit healthcare system. He

c
hampioned the 2023 partnership with the University of South Carolina
to relocate the USC School of Nursing to West Columbia and oversaw successful
expansion of facilities throughout the Midlands; and

W
hereas, his stewardship also brought national recognition, with
Lexington Health earning Magnet Hospital With Distinction status, ranking as
U.S.
News & World Report
's #2 hospital in South Carolina, and being named
Modern
Healthcare
's #1 family-friendly healthcare organization in America; and

W
hereas, with Mr. Augsburger's retirement, he leaves behind a legacy
of excellence and commitment to the Midlands community. The people of South
Carolina, grateful for his consistent excellence, take great pleasure in
wishing him well as he enters retirement and trust he will find much enjoyment
in the more leisurely pace of the days ahead. Now, therefore,

e it resolved by the Senate:

T
hat the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, celebrate
and congratulate Tod Augsburger, retiring president and CEO of Lexington
Health, express deep appreciation for his twenty-six years of distinguished
service, and wish him continued success and fulfillment in all his future
endeavors.

e it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to
Tod Augsburger.
