A concurrent RESOLUTION

TO HONOR AND
RECOGNIZE THE PINEWOOD PREPARATORY SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM, COACHES, AND
SCHOOL OFFICIALS, FOR AN OUTSTANDING SEASON, AND TO CONGRATULATE THEM ON
WINNING THE 2026 SOUTH CAROLINA INDEPENDENT SCHOOL ASSOCIATION 4A STATE
CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE.

W
hereas, the members of
the South Carolina General Assembly were pleased to hear that on Friday,
February 27, 2026, the Pinewood Preparatory School boys basketball team won the
2026 South Carolina Independent School Association 4A State Championship held
at the Sumter Civic Center; and

W
hereas, this marks the
first championship title won by the Pinewood Prep boys basketball team since
2010; and

W
hereas, the Pinewood
Prep Panthers finished their season with an impressive 28-6 record. This win signifies
the ninth title for Head Coach Pat Eidson with the Panthers; and

W
hereas, the Panthers junior
Tre Green, Pinewood Prep's leading scorer this season, scored 24 points in the
title game. Junior Kais Parris added 18 points, and junior forward Tripp Eidson
scored 12 points; and

W
hereas, in a sport that
demands strength and agility, Head Coach Pat Eidson and his talented coaching
staff utilized their own experience and passion for the sport to produce a
championship-caliber team. The lessons that they have taught these young
athletes will continue to shape them on and off the court; and

W
hereas, the members of
the South Carolina General Assembly value the pride and recognition that the
Pinewood Preparatory School boys basketball team have brought to their school
and community. The members look forward to hearing about their future
accomplishments in the days to come. Now, therefore,

e it resolved by the
Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

T
hat the members of the
South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, honor and recognize the
Pinewood Preparatory School boys basketball team, coaches, and school
officials, for an outstanding season, and congratulate them on winning the 2026
South Carolina Independent School Association 4A State Championship title.

B
e it further resolved that
a copy of this resolution be presented to Pinewood Preparatory's Head of School
Daniel Seiden and Head Coach Pat Eidson.
