An Act to require the approval of the county for the creation of a tax increment 1
financing district by a municipality. 2
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA: 3
Section 1. That a NEW SECTION be added to chapter 11-9: 4
No municipality may create a district unless the board of county commissioners of 5
each county in which the district is located, either in whole or in part, has consented to 6
the creation of the district by resolution. 7
