An Act to allow subdivisions to limit the operation of drones at open-air events. 1
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA: 2
Section 1. That a NEW SECTION be added to chapter 50-15: 3
In accordance with § 50-15-10, a political subdivision may enact ordinances and 4
resolutions containing reasonable and necessary limitations on the operation of drones to 5
protect privacy and prevent trespass at: 6
(1) Parades; 7
(2) Outdoor festivals; 8
(3) The state fair; 9
(4) County fairs; 10
(5) Air shows; 11
(6) Sporting events; and 12
(7) Any other open-air event that draws large numbers of people. 13
