A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION honoring the South Dakota Health Care
Association on its seventy-fifth anniversary.
WHEREAS, the South Dakota Health Care Association has, for the past seventy -five years,
focused on providing assistance and long-term care services so that individuals can continue living
dignified and meaningful lives; and
WHEREAS, the South Dakota Health Care Association has educated countless individuals,
families, and community leaders over the years about planning for long-term care services in order
to better help elderly individuals and persons with disabilities lead productive and active lives; and
WHEREAS, the South Dakota Health Care Association is committed to continuing this mission
for many decades and more generations hence; and
WHEREAS, the South Dakota Health Care Association's Board of Directors consists of President
Jason Hanssen, Estelline; Secretary Laura Karlson, Rapid City; Treasurer Kasey Klapprodt,
Watertown; Non-Proprietary Representatives Tyler Donahue, Rapid City, an d Deborah Herrboldt,
Sioux Falls; Proprietary Representatives Celina Block, Rapid City, and Megan Kleinsasser,
Wessington; Assisted Living Representative Krista Beauchamp, Watertown; and Immediate Past -
President Tatiana Johnson, Rapid City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the One Hundred First Legislature of the State
of South Dakota, that the South Dakota Health Care Association is congratulated for seventy -five
years of life-enhancing services to elderly individuals and persons with disabilities in South Dakota.
