A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION commending and honoring the Hill City School
Board on its selection as the Associated School Boards of South Dakota
Outstanding School Board of South Dakota for 2025.
WHEREAS, the Hill City School Board has long been recognized for its efforts to promote
student achievement, to encourage teacher quality and retention, and to foster a culture of
positivity, all while being good stewards of the people's tax dollars; and
WHEREAS, the board approved the implementation of targeted interventions that resulted
in measurable academic gains at both the elementary and high school levels, while also being
successful at increasing support for problem areas, increasing and maintain ing opportunities
for professional development, and cultivating a culture of positivity; and
WHEREAS, the Hill City School Board has received the Associated School Boards of South
Dakota Gold Level ALL Award for six consecutive years, which proves their commitment to
education and to the betterment of their board skills;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the One Hundred First Legislature of the
State of South Dakota, that the Hill City School Board is recognized for being named as the
Outstanding School Board of South Dakota and for its efforts to enhance the educati on of
students in the district.
