A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION commending and honoring Amber Vogt, a member
of the Lead-Deadwood School District Board of Education, on her selection as the
Associated School Boards of South Dakota Outstanding School Board Member of
South Dakota for 2025.
WHEREAS, Amber Vogt is deeply committed to her district and is regularly an outlet for
students, staff, and community members, which makes her decisions as a board member very
informed; and
WHEREAS, she is a strong advocate for increased opportunities for students in this state and
has been instrumental in the process of helping the district approve substantial salary increases;
and
WHEREAS, Ms. Vogt truly listens to staff on contract language requests and is very good at
building consensus on the board; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Vogt leads with her heart and is a smart and savvy board member who gives
a great deal to her school district;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the One Hundred First Legislature of the State
of South Dakota, that Amber Vogt of the Lead -Deadwood School District Board of Education, is
recognized for her selection as Outstanding School Board Member of 2025, and for her efforts to
seek enhancement of the educational opportunities for the K-12 students of this state.
