A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION honoring the 2025 -2026 Canton C -Hawks boys
wrestling team.
WHEREAS, the Canton C-Hawk boys wrestling team has a longstanding history of excellence;
and
WHEREAS, the Canton C-Hawk boys wrestling team won the Region 2B tournament in February
2026; and
WHEREAS, the Canton C -Hawk boys wrestling team went on to win the State B wrestling
championship for the ninth consecutive year; and
WHEREAS, the 2026 C -Hawk state qualifiers were Bode Walker (106 pounds), Cael
Vanderbroek (113 pounds), Blaise Bentz (120 pounds), Levi Tuntland (126 pounds), Shane Sehr
(144 pounds), Camdyn Ockenga (150 pounds), Conner Giedd (157 pounds), Wyatt Tuntland (165
pounds), Tasyn Ockenga (175 pounds), Aidan Kranz (190 pounds), Chase Adam (215 pounds),
and Gunnar Swenson (285 pounds); and
WHEREAS, the C -Hawk boys wrestling team was led by coaches Jeremy Swenson, Parker
Swanson, Kyle Seibel, Brandon Sehr, Mike Walker and Zach Bartels;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the One Hundred First Legislature of the State
of South Dakota, that through dedication, many hours of practice, and the support of parents,
friends, and the Canton community, the Canton C -Hawk boys are the 2026 Stat e B Wrestling
Tournament Champions.
