Plain English: The amendment changes requirements for students who are zoned to attend certain large local education agencies (LEAs) in Tennessee.
- Removes the requirement that a student must be zoned to an LEA excluding the achievement school district if it meets specific enrollment and operational criteria from the previous year's report card.
- Deletes sections of the law related to how certain students are assigned to schools based on economic status.
- The amendment text does not provide clear details about what happens after removing these requirements, so it is unclear how this will affect student assignments in practice.
