Self-Service Storage Facility Rules
This bill changes how self-service storage facility agreements work in Tennessee.
What This Bill Does
- If a tenant does not sign an updated rental agreement but keeps using the storage space for at least 30 days, it is considered accepted as if signed.
- A tenant cannot use the storage after getting a notice of termination or nonrenewal by hand delivery, certified mail, or email. The notice must give at least 15 days to remove items.
- The rental agreement can say that the owner can get rid of items more than 15 days after termination if not removed.
