ON MARCH 27, 2025, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1
AND PASSED SENATE BILL 1155, AS AMENDED.

AMENDMENT #1 rewrites the bill to, instead, authorize Johnson City

to
set the hours that licensees within
a
downtown district
designated by the municipality
are authorized to sell or give away alcoholic beverages.

AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 57,
relative to alcoholic beverages.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 57-4-304(a), is amended by deleting
the language "may extend for not to exceed thirty (30) days" and substituting instead "may
extend for not to exceed forty-five (45) days".
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
