A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the process for filling a vacancy on the board of

certain property owners' associations.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:

SECTION 1. Section 209.00593(a), Property Code, is amended

to read as follows:

(a) Notwithstanding any provision in a dedicatory

instrument, any board member whose term has expired must be elected

by owners who are members of the property owners' association.
