A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the duties of the district attorney for the 70th

Judicial District.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:

SECTION 1. Section 43.137(d), Government Code, is repealed.

SECTION 2. The repeal by this Act of Section 43.137(d),

Government Code, applies only to a proceeding commenced on or after

the effective date of this Act. A proceeding commenced before the

effective date of this Act is governed by the law in effect on the

date the proceeding was commenced, and the former law is continued

in effect for that purpose.

SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
