A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the admissibility of hearsay evidence in a hearing for a

person charged with a violation of a condition of release from the

Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:

SECTION 1. Section 508.281, Government Code, is amended by

adding Subsection (g) to read as follows:

(g)

Hearsay evidence is not admissible in a hearing

conducted under this section.

SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
