H.C.R. No. 169

HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The conference committee report for Senate Bill No.

1 has been adopted by the house of representatives and, upon

adoption of the report by the senate, the bill is eligible to

prepared for enrollment; and

WHEREAS, The bill text in the report contains technical

errors that must be corrected; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the 89th Legislature of the State of Texas, That

the appropriate enrolling clerk be instructed to make the following

corrections:

(1) In Section 18.83, ARTICLE IX, of the bill text strike

all text before Subdivision (a) of the rider and substitute the

following:

Contingency for Senate Bill 293.

Contingent

on the enactment of Senate Bill 293 in the form as passed by the

House of Representatives on May 27, 2025, including Section 23

thereof, relating to the discipline of judges by the State

Commission on Judicial Conduct, notice of certain reprimands,

judicial compensation and related retirement benefits, and the

reporting of certain judicial transparency information;

authorizing an administrative penalty, the following changes are

made:
