H.R. No. 1003
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sarah Martinez of Memorial Elementary School has
been nominated for the 2025 Plano Independent School District
Elementary Teacher of the Year award; and
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference
in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and
WHEREAS, A veteran teacher with 16 years of experience, Mrs.
Martinez currently serves as the second-grade team leader at
Memorial Elementary; she is a graduate of Plano Senior High School,
and she earned a degree in elementary education from Abilene
Christian University; and
WHEREAS, Sarah Martinez exemplifies the passion,
determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our
best teachers, and she has set a standard of excellence to which all
in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Sarah Martinez on her nomination
for the 2025 Plano Independent School District Elementary Teacher
of the Year award and extend to her sincere best wishes for
continued success with her important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mrs. Martinez as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
