H.R. No. 1008
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Meg Keierleber of Dooley Elementary School has been
nominated for the 2025 Plano Independent School District Elementary
Teacher of the Year award; and
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference
in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Keierleber has taught at Dooley Elementary for
18 years, and for the past 8 years, she has served as the gifted
specialist for the Plano Academic and Creative Education program;
she attended Texas A&M University and earned a bachelor's degree in
interdisciplinary studies with a specialization in reading and
language arts from Sam Houston State University; and
WHEREAS, Meg Keierleber exemplifies the passion,
determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our
best teachers, and she has set a standard of excellence to which all
in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Meg Keierleber on her nomination
for the 2025 Plano Independent School District Elementary Teacher
of the Year award and extend to her sincere best wishes for
continued success with her important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mrs. Keierleber as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
