R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Kennedy Moorman has been honored as the 2024-2025

Rookie of the Year by the Southern Methodist University cheer

program in recognition of her exemplary performance, leadership,

and team spirit; and

WHEREAS, A member of the SMU spirit cheer team, Ms. Moorman

has shown outstanding dedication and growth, both as a cheerleader

and in her personal life, during her tenure with the cheer program;

and

WHEREAS, Ms. Moorman takes tremendous pride in wearing the

Mustang uniform, embracing every opportunity with humility,

enthusiasm, and a deep love for her squad and university; she is a

young woman of great character who inspires those around her, and

her exemplary contributions and her commitment to supporting others

exemplify the highest ideals of teamwork and perseverance; and

WHEREAS, Through early morning practices, unforgettable

moments on the field, and bonds forged with teammates, Kennedy

Moorman has embodied the true spirit of what it means to be a part of

something greater than oneself, and she is indeed deserving of this

notable accolade; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby congratulate Kennedy Moorman on being named the

2024-2025 Rookie of the Year by the Southern Methodist University

cheer program and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued

success; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for Ms. Moorman as an expression of high regard by the

Texas House of Representatives.
