R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Alison Schannep Belliveau has been named a recipient

of a 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award by the Killeen Independent

School District Alumni Association; and

WHEREAS, Each year, the alumni association recognizes

Killeen ISD graduates who have contributed significantly to their

communities or professions and who serve as inspiring role models

for future generations; and

WHEREAS, An alumnus of Ellison High School, Mrs. Belliveau is

the principal of the Dr. Gene Burton College and Career Academy and

the Rockwall ISD executive director of career and technical

education, and she holds two and a half decades of experience in the

field; she began her career in education with Killeen ISD; after

serving as Temple ISD director of CTE for four years, she returned

to Killeen ISD as CTE coordinator, leading all CTE curriculum and

instructional development; she was named to her current positions

in 2017; in her duties as principal, she partners with local

businesses and helps students from Rockwall and Rockwall-Heath High

Schools explore career options and earn professional

certifications and two-year degrees; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Belliveau received a bachelor's degree in

business administration and a master's degree in educational

administration from Tarleton State University; in 2015, she was

recognized as the Career and Technology Association of Texas

Administrator of the Year; in all her endeavors, she benefits from

the love and support of her husband, Owen, and their children, Haley

and Mason; and

WHEREAS, The accomplishments of noteworthy alumni are a

source of great pride to all those associated with Killeen ISD, and

Alison Belliveau is indeed deserving of this prestigious honor;

now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby congratulate Alison Schannep Belliveau on her

receipt of a 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award from the Killeen

Independent School District Alumni Association and extend to her

sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for Mrs. Belliveau as an expression of high regard by the

Texas House of Representatives.
