H.R. No. 1095
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Beatriz Copello has distinguished herself in her
responsibilities as a communications intern in the office of State
Representative Gene Wu during the 89th Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Copello has provided
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
including informing constituents and allies about the office's
work; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of
public service, she has learned more about the legislative process
and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Copello is a sophomore at The University of
Texas at Austin, where she is pursuing a degree in political
communications; she has been involved with student government and
has held membership in the campus chapters of Eta Sigma Phi and
Minority Women Pursuing Law; moreover, she has served as a Spanish
translator for events sponsored by the UT School of Law, and she has
assisted in providing legal support to Houston-area youth through
the city's Teen Court program; and
WHEREAS, Beatriz Copello has performed her duties as a
communications intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Beatriz Copello for her service as a
communications intern in the office of State Representative Gene Wu
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all
her endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Copello as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
