H.R. No. 1096

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Audrey Burchett has distinguished herself in her

responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State

Representative Angelia Orr during the 89th Legislative Session; and

WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Burchett has provided

vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;

in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public

service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the

issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; among her specific

duties, she has served as the lead staffer for the Committee on

Culture, Recreation & Tourism, assisted Representative Orr with her

work on the Committee on Appropriations, and played a vital role in

analyzing complex legislation while effectively communicating with

stakeholders; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Burchett is a junior at Texas A&M University,

where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in agribusiness; actively

involved on campus, she has distinguished herself as a teaching

assistant in the Department of Agricultural Economics and through

her participation in the Texas A&M University Public Policy

Internship Program; moreover, she volunteers with the faith-based

Philadelphia Sisters organization; and

WHEREAS, Audrey Burchett has performed her duties as a

legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed

deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,

be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby commend Audrey Burchett for her service as a

legislative aide in the office of State Representative Angelia Orr

and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all

her endeavors; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for Ms. Burchett as an expression of high regard by the

Texas House of Representatives.
