H.R. No. 1097

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Aaron W. Lurin has distinguished himself in his

responsibilities as a communications intern in the office of State

Representative Gene Wu during the 89th Legislative Session; and

WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Lurin has provided

vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,

which have included communicating with constituents and

stakeholders; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the

field of public service, he has learned more about the legislative

process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and

WHEREAS, A 2024 graduate of The University of Texas at

Austin, Mr. Lurin holds a bachelor's degree in political

communication and an elements of computing certificate;

previously, he worked as a press intern for U.S. Representative

Mike Levin in Washington, D.C., through the Archer Fellowship

Program at UT, and he also served as a policy intern for State

Senator Royce West during the 88th Legislative Session; moreover,

he has experience as a Voter Activation Network assistant for the

Texas Democratic Party, as a policy and communications intern for

AARP Texas, as a communications intern for the City of Austin

Housing and Planning Department, as a research assistant at the UT

LBJ School of Public Affairs, and as a field organizer for Zohaib

"Zo" Qadri for City Council; and

WHEREAS, Aaron Lurin has performed his duties as a

communications intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed

deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,

be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby commend Aaron W. Lurin for his service as a

communications intern in the office of State Representative Gene Wu

and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all

his endeavors; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for Mr. Lurin as an expression of high regard by the Texas

House of Representatives.
