H.R. No. 1108

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the

passing of Adriana Lucila Lekosky of Corpus Christi on May 5, 2025,

at the age of 68; and

WHEREAS, The daughter of Juan and Adela Galvan, the former

Lucy Galvan was born in Corpus Christi on October 24, 1956; after

graduating in 1975 from Miller High School, she moved to

California, where she lived for a time before returning home to

Corpus Christi; and

WHEREAS, She wed Bill Lekosky in November 1986, and the

couple shared a rewarding marriage that spanned nearly four

decades; she was the proud mother of four children, Sonny, Billy,

Ryan, and Danika, and with the passing years, she had the pleasure

of seeing her treasured family grow to include seven grandchildren;

and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Lekosky worked for a number of Corpus Christi

businesses over the course of her life, including Bay Limited,

The Hershey Corpus Christi Hotel, Gulfeagle Supply, the Mattsco

Supply Company, Integrated Power Services, and Tuloso-Midway High

School; following her retirement from the Tuloso-Midway

Independent School District in 2013, she continued serving as a

substitute teacher for a number of years; in 2017, she became her

mother's caregiver and later worked for the Snowden Chiropractic

Clinic; and

WHEREAS, A lifelong Catholic, Mrs. Lekosky attended services

at Pax Christi, where she was a member of the altar and rosary

societies; she was also an avid traveler, visiting nearly all 50

states, and she especially cherished her trip to the Holy Land in

2023; in her leisure hours, she enjoyed photographing events and

landscapes, painting, crocheting, and sewing; and

WHEREAS, Although she will be deeply missed, the passage of

time will never diminish the joy and love that Lucy Lekosky brought

into the lives of all who knew her; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Adriana Lucila

Lekosky and extend sincere condolences to the members of her

family: to her husband, William Lekosky; to her children, Sonny

Limon and his wife, Lorena Marquet, Billy Lekosky and his wife,

Ashton Casarez, and Danika Anderwald and her husband, Clay

Anderwald; to her grandchildren, Lucas, Braylon, Colton, Mila,

Dakota, Myles, and Baby; to her godson, Maximus Alvarez; to her

siblings, Paul Galvan and his wife, Olga, Catalina Galvan, Beatrice

Trevino, and Lorena Galvan; and to her other relatives and friends;

and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of

Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lucy

Lekosky.
