Commending Karan Mehta for his service as legislative director in the office of State Representative R. D. "Bobby" Guerra.

H.R. No. 1118

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Karan Mehta has ably served his fellow Texans as

legislative director in the office of State Representative

R. D. "Bobby" Guerra during the 89th Legislature; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Mehta's resourcefulness and initiative have

earned the appreciation of his colleagues, and his contributions to

carrying forth Representative Guerra's legislative agenda have

helped address issues facing citizens across the Lone Star State;

and

WHEREAS, Mr. Mehta holds a bachelor's degree in political

science and international relations from Illinois State University

and a backend software development certification from the Turing

School of Software and Design; previously, he served in the

Illinois Senate as a legislative aide and a member of the

communications staff, and he later became the director of

communications and execution for the child-care startup Nanno in

Denver, Colorado; and

WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed his

duties as legislative director with skill and dedication, and he is

indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now,

therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby commend Karan Mehta for his service as

legislative director in the office of State Representative

R. D. "Bobby" Guerra and extend to him sincere best wishes for

continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for Mr. Mehta as an expression of high regard by the Texas

House of Representatives.
