H.R. No. 1120

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Residents of Victoria lost an esteemed community

leader and friend to many with the passing of Robby Burdge on May 5,

2025, at the age of 63; and

WHEREAS, Born in Norwalk, Ohio, on March 5, 1962, Robby

Burdge was the son of Adelbert and Lillian Burdge, and he grew up

with the companionship of seven siblings, Tena, Anette, Joni,

Butch, Andy, Toya, and Teri; he distinguished himself as the CEO and

president of klean corp international, a company he founded in 1997

that specializes in industrial cleaning products and technology;

the guiding principles of his business reflected his strong

religious faith as well as his belief in the importance of family,

teamwork, and individual responsibility; and

WHEREAS, A prominent member of the Victoria community,

Mr. Burdge was involved in numerous local civic organizations,

including the United Way, YMCA, Habitat for Humanity, and the Boys &

Girls Club of Victoria; he was an instrumental supporter of

Perpetual Help Home, Inc., and served on the boards of St. Joseph

High School, Bluebonnet Youth Ranch, the Port of Victoria, and

Victoria College, among others; in recognition of his

contributions, he was named the Victoria Rotary Citizen of the Year

and was twice selected as the Victoria Chamber of Commerce Citizen

of the Year; and

WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Burdge enjoyed the love

and support of his wife, Tami; the couple shared a rewarding

marriage that spanned 42 years and welcomed the arrival of two

children, Casey and Conner, and later, two grandchildren, Parker

and Levi; Mr. Burdge relished the time he spent with his loved ones

at the family home in New Braunfels, where love, music, and laughter

were always in abundance; and

WHEREAS, Deeply devoted to his family, his community, and his

faith, Robby Burdge made a meaningful difference in many lives, and

he leaves behind a legacy of kindness and service that will continue

to inspire all who knew him; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Robby Burdge and

extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,

Tami Burdge; to his children, Casey Burdge Staudt and her husband,

Caleb, and Conner Burdge; to his grandchildren, Parker and Levi

Staudt; to his siblings, Tena Payne and her husband, Larry, Anette

Hagarty, Joni Petterson and her husband, Kenny, Butch Burdge and

his wife, Judy, Andy Burdge and his wife, Gloria, Toya Burdge, and

Teri Parkman and her husband, Randy; and to his other relatives and

friends; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of

Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Robby

Burdge.
