H.R. No. 1134

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, It has long been the custom of the House of

Representatives of the State of Texas to honor the children of its

members by electing them to the office of mascot; and

WHEREAS, Since 1983, the House of Representatives has also

bestowed recognition on the grandchildren of its members by naming

them honorary mascots of this House; and

WHEREAS, A roster of members' grandchildren has been compiled

for this special designation; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby designate the following grandchildren of House

members as honorary mascots:

Peyton Bell Flax, granddaughter of Keith Bell;

Cole Curtis Dykes, grandson of Brad Buckley;

Birdie Elizabeth Barnes and Heidi Parker Hinson,

granddaughters of David Cook;

Scottie Curry, granddaughter of Pat Curry;

Reece Ryan Drake and Blaire Ann Drake, grandchildren of Drew

Darby;

Sienna Catherine Frank and Gemma Elizabeth Frank,

granddaughters of James Frank;

Quinn Nichols Guerra, granddaughter of Bobby Guerra;

Lani Holt, granddaughter of Janis Holt;

Mateo Taylor Villeda Hunter, grandson of Todd Hunter;

Alaia Sunny Jones, granddaughter of Jolanda Jones;

grandchildren of Joanne Shofner;

Beatrice Dot Bulla and Charlotte Thatcher Smithee,

granddaughters of John Smithee;

Venora Milana Tinderholt, granddaughter of Tony Tinderholt;

Mabel Rose Hunsaker, granddaughter of Chris Turner;

Anastasia Lynn Wharton, granddaughter of Trey Wharton; and,

be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for each honorary mascot as a memento of this honor.
