H.R. No. 1164

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Clint High School in the Clint Independent School

District celebrated its 100th anniversary during the 2023-2024

academic year; and

WHEREAS, Clint High School was founded in 1919, and its 1924

graduating class included just four students; today, the campus

boasts an enrollment of more than 730 students, and it is guided by

the core values of responsibility, quality work, community service,

teamwork, and diversity; and

WHEREAS, Clint High School adopted the motto "Win the Day"

and selected a mascot, the lion, and school colors, royal blue and

white; the campus fosters a supportive and challenging academic

environment that equips students with the tools they need to become

successful and productive members of society; and

WHEREAS, For more than a century, the faculty and staff of

Clint High School have dedicated themselves to meeting the

educational needs of their students, and the school has played a

vital role in helping many young Texans build a bright and

fulfilling future; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby commemorate the 100th anniversary of Clint High

School and extend to all those affiliated with the campus sincere

best wishes for the future; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for Clint High School as an expression of high regard by

the Texas House of Representatives.
