H.R. No. 1170
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, El Botanero Mariscos in El Paso was included in the
list of "The 50 Best Tacos in Texas" published by
Texas Monthly
; and
WHEREAS, Popular among locals and visitors alike, the food
truck specializes in coastal Mexican cuisine by owner Abel
Palacios, an El Paso native; its menu features new approaches to a
number of classic seafood dishes, including shrimp cocktails and
aguachile, all of which are made using fresh ingredients; the
restaurant was honored for its bestseller, the ceviche taco, which
is composed of lime-marinated tilapia and shrimp; and
WHEREAS, A treasured local institution, El Botanero Mariscos
has contributed to the prosperity and distinct character of the
El Paso community, and Abel Palacios and his staff are indeed
worthy of recognition for this recent accomplishment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate El Botanero Mariscos on being
included in
Texas Monthly
's list of "The 50 Best Tacos in Texas" and
extend to all those associated with the restaurant sincere best
wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Palacios as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
