Congratulating Joshua Marmolejo of Clint High School on his receipt of a 2024-2025 Milken Educator Award.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Joshua Marmolejo of Clint High School has been

presented with a 2024-2025 Milken Educator Award; and

WHEREAS, Established in 1987, this prestigious accolade

recognizes outstanding educators from across the nation for their

achievements and their commitment to their profession; each award

comes with a $25,000 prize and an all-expenses-paid trip to the

Milken Educator Awards Forum; Mr. Marmolejo was one of only 42

individuals to be selected for the 2024-2025 honor, and he is the

first recipient in Clint Independent School District history; and

WHEREAS, Head of the P-TECH automotive technology program at

Clint High, Mr. Marmolejo prepares students for college-level

courses, balancing core curriculum with hands-on experience in all

aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair; he brings to his

instruction a wealth of knowledge and expertise gained as a

mechanical engineer and certified automotive master technician,

and his students have the opportunity to earn a number of

industry-recognized credentials; he further contributes to the CHS

campus as a member of the P-TECH advisory committee and homecoming

planning team; and

WHEREAS, A leader in the wider community as well,

Mr. Marmolejo is actively involved with the El Paso Community

College career advisory committee; he holds a bachelor's degree in

mechanical engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso and

has been designated a master teacher by the Texas Education Agency;

and

WHEREAS, Joshua Marmolejo exemplifies the passion,

determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our

best teachers, and he has set a standard of excellence to which all

in his profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby congratulate Joshua Marmolejo on his receipt of

a 2024-2025 Milken Educator Award and extend to him sincere best

wishes for continued success with his important work; and, be it

further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for Mr. Marmolejo as an expression of high regard by the

Texas House of Representatives.
