H.R. No. 1177
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Danna Morales of Americas High School in the Socorro
Independent School District has distinguished herself in her
responsibilities as a legislative intern in the office of State
Representative Mary E. González; and
WHEREAS, Over the course of her internship, Ms. Morales has
provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging
tasks, which have included helping draft resolutions and memos and
tracking local and global news; in addition to gaining valuable
experience in the field of public service, she has learned more
about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the
Lone Star State; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Morales is in the top 10 percent of her class,
and she was elected secretary of the Libertas program for the
2024-2025 school year; she has been further involved with her
campus community as team captain of both the High-Q trivia team and
the varsity swimming team, and she has served as a lead attorney on
the Libertas Academy mock trial team and as a group captain in its
World Affairs program; upon graduation, she plans to continue her
education at The University of Texas at El Paso, where she has been
accepted into the Excellence Scholarship Program; and
WHEREAS, Danna Morales has performed her duties as a
legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Danna Morales for her service as a
legislative intern in the office of State Representative
Mary E. González and extend to her sincere best wishes for
continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Morales as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
