H.R. No. 1184

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Dallas Jax Dohl of Americas High School in the

Socorro Independent School District has distinguished himself in

his responsibilities as a legislative intern in the office of State

Representative Mary E. González; and

WHEREAS, Over the course of his internship, Mr. Dohl has

provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging

tasks; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of

public service, he has learned more about the legislative process

and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and

WHEREAS, A senior at Americas High, Mr. Dohl is a member of

the Libertas Academy program for students interested in law,

government, and public administration, and he has demonstrated

exceptional leadership ability by serving as historian and creative

director of programming; he has also participated in Destination

Imagination and the Sierra Student Coalition and has managed a

challenging course load that includes numerous dual credit and

Advanced Placement classes; active in his community, he has

volunteered with El Pasoans Fighting Hunger and the El Paso Villa

Maria women's shelter; and

WHEREAS, Dallas Dohl has performed his duties as a

legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed

deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,

be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby commend Dallas Jax Dohl for his service as a

legislative intern in the office of State Representative

Mary E. González and extend to him sincere best wishes for

continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for Mr. Dohl as an expression of high regard by the Texas

House of Representatives.
