H.R. No. 1268
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, High school graduation is one of life's pivotal
milestones, and Julia Wiginton is participating in that joyful
occasion with her graduation from Allen High School on May 23,
2025; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Wiginton can reflect with great pride on the
perseverance she has demonstrated in the pursuit of her goals
throughout her high school career; a member of the National Honor
Society, she was named an Eagle Scholar for achieving the College
Readiness Standard, and she earned the Outstanding Forensic Science
Award; she has further distinguished herself as a member of the
volleyball team; and
WHEREAS, Active in her community, Ms. Wiginton has
contributed to the Peer Assistance and Leadership program,
mentoring elementary students and helping students with life
challenges; she has held a leadership role with Hope Squad,
assisting her peers with mental health struggles; she has also been
involved in organizations such as Young Life Student Ministry and
Young Life Capernaum; in the fall, she plans to study journalism at
the University of Tennessee; and
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this
outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family and
friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright with
promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Julia Wiginton on her graduation
from Allen High School and extend to her sincere best wishes for
continued success and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Wiginton as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
