H.R. No. 1270
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, High school graduation is one of life's pivotal
milestones, and Avery Penrod is participating in that joyful
occasion with her graduation from Allen High School on
May 23, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Penrod can reflect with great pride on the
perseverance she has demonstrated in the pursuit of her goals
throughout her high school career; a member of the National Honor
Society and the varsity volleyball team, she was named an Eagle
Scholar and has received a number of accolades recognizing academic
and athletic excellence, including the AVCA Best and Brightest
award, the Eagle Pride Award, and Academic All-District and First
Team All-District honors; she has further distinguished herself
through her involvement in the school's WINGS and PALs programs;
and
WHEREAS, Active in her community, Ms. Penrod has tutored
middle school students and served as a referee and volleyball coach
for the Allen Sports Association; she has also been involved in Life
Fellowship Student Ministry; in the fall, she plans to study
psychology at the University of Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this
outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family and
friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright with
promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Avery Penrod on her graduation from
Allen High School and extend to her sincere best wishes for
continued success and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Penrod as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
