H.R. No. 1272

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, High school graduation is one of life's pivotal

milestones, and Peyton Cox is participating in that joyful occasion

with her graduation from Allen High School on May 23, 2025; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Cox can reflect with great pride on the

perseverance she has demonstrated in the pursuit of her goals

throughout her high school career; the recipient of Allen Eagle

Pride and Academic Excellence Awards, she has managed a challenging

course load that includes numerous dual credit classes, and she has

held various leadership roles with the National Charity League; she

has further distinguished herself as a talented volleyball player,

and she completed mission trips to Guatemala and Kenya; and

WHEREAS, Active in her community, Ms. Cox has contributed to

a wide range of initiatives dedicated to beautifying Allen,

supporting the elderly, and feeding and clothing those in need; she

has worked for Paciugo Gelato Cafe and served as a volleyball

referee for the Allen Sports Association; this fall, she plans to

attend Oklahoma State University, where she will study business and

psychology; and

WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this

outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family and

friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright with

promise; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby congratulate Peyton Cox on her graduation from

Allen High School and extend to her sincere best wishes for

continued success and happiness; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for Ms. Cox as an expression of high regard by the Texas

House of Representatives.
