H.R. No. 1288

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Kieran J. Williams has distinguished himself in his

responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State

Representative Chris Turner during the 89th Legislative Session;

and

WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Williams has handled a

wide variety of challenging tasks, including staffing the State

Affairs Committee, meeting with stakeholders, and providing

assistance in the policy areas of criminal jurisprudence, public

education, veterans' issues, and workers' rights; in addition to

gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, he has

learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing

citizens of the Lone Star State; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Williams is currently a student at the Southern

University Law Center in Baton Rouge, where he serves as president

of the Business, Entrepreneurship, and Creatives Law Association,

as treasurer of the Christians at Law Society, and as senior editor

of the
Journal of Intellectual Property, Technology and Law
; he

holds a bachelor's and master's degree from Mississippi State

University, and he has worked as a law clerk with the Louisiana

Legislative Black Caucus Foundation; and

WHEREAS, Kieran Williams has performed his duties as a

legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed

deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,

be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby commend Kieran J. Williams for his service as a

legislative aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner

and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all

his endeavors; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for Mr. Williams as an expression of high regard by the

Texas House of Representatives.
