H.R. No. 1289
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Nathan Micheal Sullivan of Arlington has
distinguished himself in his responsibilities as a legislative aide
in the office of State Representative Chris Turner during the 89th
Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Sullivan has provided
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
including serving as scheduler, meeting with stakeholders, and
writing talking points; he has also provided input on policy issues
in the areas of higher education, human services, insurance,
transportation, and intellectual and developmental disabilities,
and he has served as an assistant clerk for the House Subcommittee
on Property Tax Appraisals; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Sullivan is currently enrolled at The University
of Texas at Arlington, where he is pursuing a bachelor's degree in
political science with a minor in journalism; active in his campus
community, he has served as a senator in the UTA student government
and has taken part in the university's Social Work Council,
Classics Club, and Native American Student Association; in
addition, he has gained experience as a campaign volunteer and been
active with Habitat for Humanity and Mission Arlington; and
WHEREAS, Nathan Sullivan has performed his duties as a
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Nathan Micheal Sullivan for his service
as a legislative aide in the office of State Representative Chris
Turner and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success
in all his endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Sullivan as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
