H.R. No. 1310

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Sydney Taylor has distinguished herself in her

responsibilities as a legislative intern in the office of State

Representative Charles Cunningham during the 89th Legislative

Session; and

WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Taylor has provided

vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;

in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public

service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the

issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and

WHEREAS, The daughter of Jeff and Tammy Taylor, Ms. Taylor

recently graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, where

she earned a bachelor's degree in government with a minor in

history; she was actively involved in the Phi Delta Phi pre-law

society and Delta Delta Delta sorority; she served on the executive

board in Tri Delta and was awarded the Theta Zeta Centennial

Scholarship for her leadership and community service; in the fall,

she plans to attend the Southern Methodist University Dedman School

of Law and later pursue a career in civil litigation in Texas; and

WHEREAS, Sydney Taylor has performed her duties as a

legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed

deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,

be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby commend Sydney Taylor for her service as a

legislative intern in the office of State Representative Charles

Cunningham and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued

success in all her endeavors; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for Ms. Taylor as an expression of high regard by the Texas

House of Representatives.
