H.R. No. 1322
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Karnies Adams has distinguished herself in her
responsibilities as a policy analyst in the office of State
Representative Alma Allen during the 89th Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff through the Texas
Legislative Internship Program, Ms. Adams has provided vital
assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
including analyzing and summarizing bills, helping staff
committees, and meeting with stakeholders and advocacy groups; in
addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
WHEREAS, A law student at Southern University Law Center,
Ms. Adams holds a bachelor's degree in political science from
Xavier University and a master of public administration degree from
Lamar University; she previously served as an intern with the Vera
Institute of Justice and as a clerk with Karl Bernard Law; in
addition, she has taught English language arts at school districts
in Baton Rouge, Houston, and Dallas; and
WHEREAS, Karnies Adams has performed her duties as a policy
analyst with skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of
special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Karnies Adams for her service as a
policy analyst in the office of State Representative Alma Allen and
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her
endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Adams as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
