H.R. No. 1323

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Regan House has distinguished herself in her

responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State

Representative Alma Allen during the 89th Legislative Session; and

WHEREAS, Since joining the staff through the Texas

Legislative Internship Program, Ms. House has provided vital

assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, which

have included analyzing and summarizing bills, condensing

committee hearing notes, and meeting with stakeholders and advocacy

groups; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of

public service, she has learned more about the legislative process

and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and

WHEREAS, Ms. House is a sophomore at The University of Texas

at Austin, where she is working toward her bachelor's degree in

government in the Plan II Honors Program; active in her campus

community, she is a member of the Liberal Arts Council, the Culture

Shock committee, and the Alpha Lambda Delta honor society; she has

previously interned in the office of U.S. Congressman Steny Hoyer

and participated in the City of Houston TEEN COURT program and

Mayor's Youth Council; and

WHEREAS, Regan House has performed her duties as a

legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed

deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,

be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby commend Regan House for her service as a

legislative aide in the office of State Representative Alma Allen

and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all

her endeavors; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for Ms. House as an expression of high regard by the Texas

House of Representatives.
