H.R. No. 1354

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Steven Snell was sworn in as judge of Williamson

County on April 21, 2025; and

WHEREAS, A former Texas history teacher, Steve Snell served

the Amarillo, Brazosport, Hutto, Spring Hill, and Liberty Hill

Independent School Districts in various faculty and administrative

roles over the past three decades; for the last six years of his

career, he led Liberty Hill ISD as superintendent and oversaw more

than $1 billion in construction projects while guiding the district

through a period of rapid growth; in recognition of his many

commendable efforts, he was named the 2024 Regional Superintendent

of the Year by Education Service Center Region 13; he further served

his fellow educators as a member of the Texas Association of School

Administrators board, and he holds a master's degree in educational

leadership from Texas Tech University, where he also completed his

undergraduate studies; and

WHEREAS, Judge Snell has served the greater community as a

member of the boards of the Hutto Area Chamber of Commerce and the

Lone Star Investment Pool, and he has also given generously of his

time to the Liberty Hill Economic Development Corporation; in all

his endeavors, he enjoys the love and support of his wife of 28

years, Amy, and their children, Madison and Will; and

WHEREAS, Steve Snell has distinguished himself through his

professional achievements and his commendable record of service to

his fellow citizens, and the people of Williamson County are

certain to benefit greatly from the dedication and expertise he

brings to his new role; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby congratulate Steven Snell on his appointment as

Williamson County judge and extend to him sincere best wishes for a

successful tenure; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for Judge Snell as an expression of high regard by the

Texas House of Representatives.
