H.R. No. 1367

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Family and friends were deeply saddened by the

passing of Doyle Oliver of Watauga on May 13, 2023, at the age of 81;

and

WHEREAS, The son of Elbert and Katie Oliver, Doyle Oliver was

born in Cross Plains on October 28, 1941; he enjoyed a career as a

Texas game warden, and in retirement, he actively volunteered at

Eastminster Presbyterian Church; and

WHEREAS, A devoted father and grandfather, Mr. Oliver

supported his family in all of their endeavors, and he was always

ready to listen or to offer words of wisdom; a skilled cook, he took

pleasure preparing meals for his loved ones; and

WHEREAS, Although Doyle Oliver is greatly missed, memories of

his strength, kindness, and generosity remain to comfort and

inspire those he leaves behind; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Doyle Oliver and

extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his passing; and, be it

further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of

Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Doyle

Oliver.
