R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Isabella Contreras has distinguished herself in her

responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State

Representative Venton Jones during the 89th Legislative Session;

and

WHEREAS, Since joining the staff through the Texas

Legislative Internship Program, Ms. Contreras has provided vital

assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; she has

been particularly passionate about such critical issues as living

wages for working families, public health, and civic engagement,

and she has also thoughtfully managed meetings with constituents,

elected officials, and advocacy organizations; and

WHEREAS, Isabella Contreras has performed her duties as a

legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed

deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,

be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby commend Isabella Contreras for her service as a

legislative aide in the office of State Representative Venton Jones

and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all

her endeavors; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for Ms. Contreras as an expression of high regard by the

Texas House of Representatives.
