H.R. No. 1410
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Kiera Dixon has distinguished herself in her
responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State
Representative Trey Martinez Fischer during the 89th Legislative
Session; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Dixon has provided
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
including analyzing legislation and welcoming visitors to the
Capitol office; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the
field of public service, she has learned more about the legislative
process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of Round Rock Christian Academy,
Ms. Dixon is a student in the Liberal Arts Honors Program at The
University of Texas at Austin, majoring in government, and she is a
recipient of the Dedman Distinguished Scholarship; her involvement
in the campus community has included service as director of the
First Year Leadership Organization and oversight of multiple
student government projects; she has distinguished herself in
national and international debate competitions and has served as a
debate coach, and she is active in College Democrats of America and
is a founding member of Gen Z For the Union; and
WHEREAS, Kiera Dixon has performed her duties as a
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Kiera Dixon for her service as a
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Trey
Martinez Fischer and extend to her sincere best wishes for
continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Dixon as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
