H.R. No. 1412
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sarah Batson has distinguished herself in her
responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State
Representative Trey Martinez Fischer during the 89th Legislative
Session; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Batson has provided
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
which have included briefing the office on budgetary and school
finance matters; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the
field of public service, she has learned more about the legislative
process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Batson holds bachelor's degrees in political
communications and government from The University of Texas at
Austin as well as a master's degree in public affairs from the
institution's Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs; she has
previously served as a graduate policy intern in the office of
Travis County Commissioner Ann Howard, a legislative aide in the
office of State Senator Nathan Johnson, and a communications aide
in the office of State Representative Vikki Goodwin; moreover, she
has been active in a variety of voter engagement initiatives and has
served as program coordinator for TX Votes; and
WHEREAS, Sarah Batson has performed her duties as a
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Sarah Batson for her service as a
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Trey
Martinez Fischer and extend to her sincere best wishes for
continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Batson as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
